Noticeboard

                                                        Urgent Patient Notice

Have you informed us of which practice you would like to be seen at after the 31st March 2018?

From 31st March 2018 you will no longer be able to make appointments at both locations. You are required to make a decision on where you would like your future care to be. Please contact the surgery to inform us of your choice.

How to See Your Doctor

We are now offering a text messaging service which will send you a reminder of your appointment and also send you a text message to inform you of your test results done at the surgery. If you would like to use this service please see the receptionist who will make sure we have your up to date mobile number.

We offer both face to face and telephone consultations with your doctor.

Please telephone the surgery (01273 688333) from 08:30 onwards on the day that you want to see or speak with a doctor and you will be offered a routine 10 minute appointment. Wherever possible it will be with your usual doctor.

Please ask the receptionist for a telephone appointment, if you feel that this is most appropriate. We will take your telephone number and the doctor will call you back.

Half of our appointments can be now be booked in advance up to 1 month ahead.

Please ask the receptionists for a “pre booked appointment” when you ring. These can also be booked using our online booking service once you have obtained the necessary access codes. (See below.) Please ask at reception for details.

Should the "routine bookable" appointments be fully booked when you contact the surgery, we operate a GP Triage system whereby you will still be able to receive a telephone consultation with the GP that day.  The GP will call you back and either deal with your complaint over the phone, or if this is not possible they will call you in to the surgery.

Book and Cancel Appointments Online

In order to book appointments online you must have previously obtained the necessary access codes. Please ask at reception for details.

We are also part of a pilot scheme which allows our patients to access GP and nurses appointments outside of the usual times. These appointments need to be booked in advance through our reception but are available every week day evening and on Saturday and Sunday.

If you find it difficult to get to surgery during the normal opening hours and feel these appointments would help you please ask the receptionist for the availability.

Telephoning the Surgery

We will receive telephone calls from 8.30am until 1.00pm and again from 2.00pm until 6.00pm.

Between 8.00am and 8.30am, 1.00pm and 2.00pm, and 6.00pm and 6.30pm the lines are diverted to our answer machine, but if you have an emergency during this hour please ring and listen to the message and it will tell you what to do.

Please telephone, if at all possible, as early as you can for an appointment, after 10.30 for general enquiries and after 14.00 for test results.

Interpreting Services

If English is not your first language and you need an interpreter to accompany you to your consultation please ring Sussex Interpreting Services (SIS) on 702005.

Alternatively contact the surgery and a receptionist will be able to do this on your behalf.

British sign language interpreting service is also available from Neal Communications Agency Ltd. Please ask at reception.

Both interpreting services are provided free for all patients.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
